Lenexa, Kansas, United States Email: kbalser@kvc.org I just began writing my first novel about 3 weeks ago, after much procrastination over the last several years. I always knew that there was a novel in me somewhere, but it took some time to think of what I wanted to write about. I have a Masters degree in social work and work as a therapist for a foster care agency in Kansas. Many of my clients are children who are victims of sexual abuse, so I decided to write my first novel, about this subject and the impact that foster care and family dynamics have on the children. I try to write 2-3 hours a day, although I work full-time, so sometimes I am not able to get that much done. I'm pretty disciplined about it, though, so that piece of the difficulties of writing has been conquered thus far. Interests: writing fiction and poetry
