Born in Malta in 1989 I started writing ' A Clue in the Cabinet' when I was only 11 years old. I received my education, and am still attending St. Dorothy’s Senior School, in Malta. With fiction as my preference, I decided to write a book of my own. I wrote because I loved it and it was only through the insistence and encouragement of my grandpa that I had this book published. A book reviewer and critic, Ms Clarissa Fleri Soler M Ed had this to say about my effort: “A Clue in the Cabinet” is a remarkable achievement for 11-year-old Emma Warrington. Written in clear prose, its fresh style should captivate young readers because it gives them what they like best – mystery that is not clouded in narrative but that unfolds in conversation. Emma has managed to create characters that come alive effortlessly because they sound realistic; she has also managed to do this in flowing prose which is a credit to her young age. The experience gained writing this book prompted me to continue writing and I have, already embarked on another story.
