Jerome Simelane

Brakpan, South Africa

Email: jay@jmail.co.za

I have written a couple of things for myself. Most based on how I felt strongly about at that moment. Some of my pieces got published @ www.jhblive.co.za and www.rage.co.za and iafrica.com.

I haven't always felt so strongly about writing before. Have been known to sit and analyse poetry in my English class while in high school instead or having a calculator in my other hand. Do I believe I am writer? The answer to that is quite simple, "No matter what anybody says, when I wake up and want to do nothing but write, damn it, I am a writer."

One of the editors @ www.iafrica.com told me that "(my) writing is honest and has attitude..." (I like her).

I would like to get into freelance writing for a lifesyle magazine or newspaper. I believe I can create an uproar. People luv uproars... and change people's lives at the same time. At the moment, www.iafrica.com is kind enough to publish my writings (I dunno if they qualify to be called articles at this stage). So check them out, or search for my name on google.com and snap, snap, snap...

I can't bring myself to say goodbye, so HELLO!

P.S. I am thinking on starting a website for writing, poetry, reading, reviews, etc. Mail me jay@jmail.co.za

Interests: I looooove reading. From Alan Patan to Jude Devaraux and, oh my goodness, Sandile Dikeni - read "Soul Fire", simply amazing. I am a very outgoing person, enjoy good dining and good wine. I am a sucker for creative arguments (which I mostly force to win).
