An international travel writer/photographer, Lorren Repton is a resident of Southern California's Big Bear Valley and is editor of many online-zines. She was editor of Big Bear Magazine from 1996 to 2006. In 2005, she took on the project of revamping a Trade Publication -- Drinking Water & Backflow Prevention -- for the code organization IAPMO, which took approximately six months to complete.
She has also been published nationally in Transitions Abroad, an alternative travel magazine, and Cerca Magazine, a Las Vegas magazine similar to Arizona Highways.
In addition to her managing editorial duties, she has written pieces for both Big Bear Magazine and the Bear Valley Voice Newspaper covering such diverse topics as "Bear Sightings," "Mountain Men Gatherings in Holcomb Valley," "The Discovery Center," "Siberian Husky Social Club," "Modes of Mountain Commuting," and "Local Artisans."
Internationally, an overseas trip and a chance meeting with a British philanthropist has resulted in a surprisingly emotional collaboration, with Lorren determined to share the story of one woman's efforts to help better the lives of homeless young girls living in a Remand Home in Madagascar.
She is also currently at work on a book that will record, via journal entries and photographs, the renovation of her 17th century farmhouse in Bretagne, France.
