Kathy Cano Murillo is The Crafty Chica!
She is the author of five art/creativity books, writes a
syndicated craft column for Gannett News Service and her
website, CraftyChica.com, recieves more than 900,000
hits a month. Her mission is to inspire, motivate and
empower folks to get their craft on and enjoy life.
When she isn't painting in her Phoenix studio, she is a
Features Reporter for The Arizona Republic, covering
movies, crafts, pop culture and general entertainment.
Kathy can be seen on the DIY Network in 2006 on the
shows "Jewelry Making", "Uncommon Threads" and "Craft
Lab". She appears weekly on local TV demonstrating her
crafty idea of thre week. In addition, she hosts the Crafty
Chica Podcast on a bi-weekly basis.
Kathy is available for workshops, public speaking, media
interviews and freelance articles outside of Arizona. Interests: Latino culture, writing, craft design, home decor/DIY,
