Rajendra Gour is Freelance Writer. Writes personal history / biography of people and organisations, as well as fiction / non-fiction stories. He obtained his Masters in Mass Communications from Leicester University, UK and graduated from the Film & Television Institute, Poona, India. Rajendra started his career as a writer at the age of 15. He frequently contributed stories and articles to various newspapers and magazines in India. He is also the author of books including “Shooting with your Eyes - what to look for when composing a shot” which was sponsored by National, Olympus and Konica companies, and “Journey of a Heart Patient – Before During and After Heart Operation”. His latest book ‘IN SEARCH OF A BRIDE’ – is a ‘cultural journey’ to India and Singapore.
Rajendra is very interested in the study of people and society. Most of his stories reflect the real life experiences of people. He is inspired by the emotions and feelings originating in the human soul and mind and finding expression through the body.
In addition to writing, Rajendra has worked extensively with film studios, broadcasting companies, educational institutes and the armed forces in India and Singapore over the last 30 years as film editor, cinematographer, director and producer. Here, he executed all types of programs - news, documentary, adult education, product promotions, advertising and entertainment. He also wrote screenplays for theatrical feature films and produced off beat short films for which he received accolades from UK and USA Film Festivals.
Rajendra is also a lecturer and workshop facilitator, having spent many hours teaching Television Production and Mass Communications at business schools and polytechnics.
Another passion of Rajendra is ‘community work’. He is an active volunteer with social and welfare associations. He has great insight into the management of community-based organizations. He is always willing to share his experiences and thoughts for the development of community services. His recent initiative is ‘Live Your Life’ programs for the Elderly and Students; promoting, sharing and implementing ideas on self-help, doing things one likes most, sharing Knowledge, keeping balance, and maintaining peace and harmony. What makes these programs unique is the infusion of Rajendra’s experiences in mass communication and community work, as well as his never-ending desire to learn and share.
