Marsha Shane

Agent: None
Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States

Email: http:/www.myspace.com/marshashane

Marsha Shane was born in the Upper Peninsula of Northern Michigan and began writing at the age of 10. She has lived in such places as Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, New Jersey, and South Carolina.
An avid reader, she will often escape into other worlds with a good book. As a child she read comic books and dreamed of one day becoming a super hero. Since that wasn't possible she had to settle for the role of an average human being.
She didn't decide to write her own stories, though, until she was inspired by the writings of Anne Rice. She later received further encouragement from Diana Gabaldon, whom Marsha says is a writer's writer. Diana gave her the initiative she needed, and now five fiction novels later Marsha is on her way.
She has an insatiable curiosity and is interested in just about everything. Some of Marsha's favorite things are horseback riding, cooking, gardening, reading, exercising, and of course, writing anything from poetry to novels.
Over the years she has been the recipient of a dozen poetry awards.
Some of her favorite fiction authors include Angela Knight, Laurell K. Hamilton, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Diana Gabaldon, Karen Marie Moning, Stephenie Meyer, Jim Butcher, Charlaine Harris, Anne Rice, and Katie MacAlister.
Marsha currently resides in the Spartanburg area with her husband, Neil.

Interests: Walking, bicycling, karate, health and fitness, horseback riding, cooking, flowers & herbs, and of course writing. (I'm interested in just about everything.) Love animals!
