Her award-winning monthly humor column about Mexico,
"A Balloon In Cactus," is published at
www.mexconnect.com, and in an English hard-copy
newspaper in Guadalajara for which she has also written
several cover stories.
Maggie has been interviewed by ABC-TV sportscaster Ed
Daniels, and written up in the Times Picayune by award-
winning columnist, Sheila Stroup. She has also been
invited to try out for host of Lifetime TV's reality show,
"You're Not The Man I Married."
Maggie has been interviewed for a documentary on
Mexican immigration which is currently being edited for
presentation at Sundance Film Festival, 2008. Other
participants include George Lopez and Jennifer Lopez.
She was keynote humor speaker at 2005 Direct Marketing
Credit Association in Manhattan.
Maggie has received several Awards For Outstanding
Literary Achievement for her monthly column, and one for
Feature Article of the Year.
She will judge the 2007 Arizona Press Club's humor award
and has been a judge of Erma Bombeck Writers' contest in
2005, 2006, and 2007.
She's been both head writer and ghostwriter for television
shows, and ghostwritten for stand-ups.
Extensive experience in the entertainment industry: a
roadie, theatrical agent, personal manager, and writer,
has supplied fodder for a lifetime of laughter.
Tony- and Grammy-winning songwriter, Roger Miller,
once said she was twenty minutes ahead of her time. They
did a book together a long time ago called "Home Is
Where The Hurt Is."
Born and raised in New York City, Maggie has also lived in
Los Angeles CA, Taos NM, and has a second home in
