V Lyric Parker, was born May 24, 1970 and raised in Atlanta's poorest communities. She wrote her first poem at the age of seven and has captivated audiences every since. She has won numerous awards, certificates and honorable mentions. She's recited poetry on V103 and performed spoken word throughout metro Atlanta.
She is intriguing, sassy, powerful and bold. Her work has been reviewed as profound, compelling with an edge.
Her first book sold over 200 copies in two months out her small apartment home with word-of-mouth as her only promotional tactic.
"Who Has Lived My Life?" and " A Momma's Love" has both captivated and stunned readers from California to Rhode Island.
She has changed the lives and touched the hearts of people that sent checks to purchase her work, never having even seen their faces. In February of 2008 she signed a contract with Belletristic Press for publication of her autobiography titled, 'The Darkest Gray', due to be released the first of 2009.
Her passion for her work and her compassion for other's aspiring to become authors, has led her to also assist others fulfill their dreams through self-publication.
