John Dempsey was born in Cairo, Egypt and came to the United States in 1980 where he set up residence in Greenwich Village, New York. Mr. Dempsey currently makes a living as a technical consultant for various businesses in Manhattan as well as free lance writing assignments.
‘Steps to the Madhouse’, John’s first collection of work, is currently available as an E-book, through Brainpan Publishing, and is enjoying favorable reviews. Mr. Dempsey’s work has also been showcased in The Drunken Boat, New Graffiti (a now defunct e-zine), The Golden Wings (an anthology, printed in India), Poetry Greece, WriteThis.com, Dreamvirus and Annetna Nepo (a multi-lingual poetry journal).
