A National Security writer, Apple Rosales used to write for the Office of the Secretary, Department of National Defense, at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, Philippines. She prepared write-ups regarding national security as required by the Secretary of National Defense. She wrote the Philippine Campaign Against Terrorism, the paper presented by the previous Secretary, Gen. Angelo T. Reyes, together with Her Excellency, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, to President George Bush of the United States. This paper subsequently led to military assistance by the United States to the Philippines, and the exercise which is now known as BALIKATAN.

She was also part of the team which prepared the Defense White Paper that was presented by every member country to the United Nations.

She wrote programs, project proposals, feasibility studies, program schedules, and benefits for the Welfare Program for Civilian and Military Employees, and had even been assigned to the House of Representatives to give updates on bills being processed by Congress regarding the Armed Forces and Veterans' affairs.

Internationally, Ms. Rosales has been contracted by Defence India to participate in the conceptualization of the Defence Outlook Magazine of India -- India's most comprehensive magazine on security issues -- and also to contribute military write-ups. In addition, she has prepared documentary write-ups for Al Rodrigues & Associates, LLC, of Honolulu, Hawaii, for a project based in the Philippines and presented to government and private institutions in Hawaii.

The latest international military event coverage by Ms. Rosales was in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S.A. She was contracted for last June 11 to 18, 2004, by the Arizona Memorial Museum Association to cover a national event, the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of the World War II battles of Saipan and Tinian. This has opened doors for this Filipina writer to venture into the world of international journalism, and she may soon be writing for international newspapers, prospectively in Saipan and in Guam.

Apple also wrote for iDiwa Online, an e-learning portal. She also prepared web content and speech write-ups, along with other media services. Her clients include ADB, Diwa Publishing, ABS-CBN Publishing, The Korean Network, Wolf Publishing, Al Rodrigues & Associates, LLC, and RoyBarry & Associates, Australia. She has also created an emagazine, a writing-related website which features Filipino and international writers.

She was an English instructor to Koreans in the Philippines for two years, teaching the principles of writing, and a guest lecturer in Korean schools in the Philippines. She has also been a consultant to a Korean pastor based in the country, and is currently a consultant to a German national working for an anti-insurgency project for Mindanao. She is currently a member of Travelwriters.com, Writers.net, Webcoolie, Writers' Digest, The Copywriter's Coach, and the Philippine News Exchange.

For her achievements in writing, Apple has been recognized by the previous Secretary of National Defense of the Philippines Gen. Angelo T. Reyes as a "rare jewel in the industry, the only lady national security writer paving her way to international defense [reporting]".

Ms. Rosales' interests include National Security, Terrorism, Public Health, Hospital Administration, Health Project Proposals, Documentaries, and government issues.
