Julia Nielsen
 Lehi, Utah, United States Email: julialn@xmission.com My name is Julia Nielsen and I have been writing for thirteen years. I wrote my first novel at sixteen and after getting married and raising three children, I started writing heavily since 1998. I have written numerous short stories, and will publish my first novel, Stepping Out of the Dark with Chipmunka Publishing, located in London. My second novel, "Paula's Choice: Trials of the Heart" is currently being considered with publishers. I have written several stories pertaining to mystery/detective subjects and love to read the same types of books.
I have graduated from The Children’s Institute of Literature, located in Connecticut and have taken several workshops on my craft, such as, story development, setting, spelling, grammar and dialogue. I was an editor for The Writer’s Life, which also has gained me experience into the world of editing.
I freelanced for the North County Newspapers, where I wrote people features, community events and city meetings. I have also published articles with Girls Life, Daughters, Tots to Teens, ABSOLUT in Africa and IQ International, based in India.
I have also written for e-zines, such as The-Vu, The Literary Review, SexyAmerica, Zinos and Pagewise. I wrote numerous articles for the late Themestream—in which I was a columnist for a year-- and TheVines. I was inducted into The Amazing Author’s Showcase on the internet as well.
Currently, I am writing a children's series called The Crystal Locket, with my father, who is also a published author of I Saw Heaven! And writing the third book in the Paula's Choice trilogy, Paula's Choice: Full Circle.
Interests: I am interested in writing for any magazine or doing marketing ads, stories or poetry, as well as journalism. I have published two novels. I am extremely good at keeping tight deadlines, as I have written for a local newspaper and expect perfection of my
