From the first day I can remember knowing how to read I have always had a book in my hand. For me there is nothing that can compare to escaping to a fictional world of excitement and intrigue. It was in Junior High School that my love for reading broadened to a love for writing my own fictional worlds. As an avid reader of young adult romances I began with what I knew. Itís funny to me now but when I look back at the first manuscript I ever put on paper I find myself racking my memory attempting to figure out what I was trying to build. The pages are full of so many typographical errors and mistakes even I canít make heads or tails out of it! Still I keep it around just to remind me of how far Iíve come since my early school days.

I was a freshman in high school when my parents realized my writing talent and encouraged me to pursue my dream. They enrolled me in a correspondence course through The Institute for Childrenís Literature. It was that course that taught me the basics of writing a professional manuscript and opened the doors to the publishing world for me.

Through the many obstacles of life I ventured away from my writing time and again but I always returned, determined to follow my dreams. In April 1999 those dreams finally came true with the acceptance of my first young adult romance, The Feud. That book was released in June of the same year and has since blossomed into a teen series.

In March 2000 I decided to try something newóto open a new world for my characters and my imagination. I began writing mysteries for adults under my pen name of Calley Moore. Deep down I had always possessed the desire to write a mystery but it took nearly forever for me to build up the confidence and believe in myself that I could do it. Writing my mysteries is so much different from the young adult books I write. Not only are they two totally different genres but thereís a tremendous difference between writing for adults and writing for young adults. Itís definitely been an adventure!

My first mystery, Murderous Greed, is the beginning of The Lindsey Dyson Mystery Series, followed by The Mystery Club and Dying for Charisma with more soon to come.

I have also moved in the adult romance genre. My first novel titled The Divine Babysitter was released in November 2002 and more are in the works.
