This is a true story of a child who grew up on a farm and later moved to a small village in Michigan. As a child she was neglected and abused.
She attended a public school for the first time when she was eight years old. After she failed the fifth grade, she refused to open a school book. She was kicked out of school in the ninth grade.
She married at the age of seventeen and had four children when she was twenty-four. After fifteen years of being an abusive marriage she got a divorce.
When her second husband, brought his "Understanding friend" home. She trashed her career,family and ran away.
She drank away all her fears, anger, hate and pain until acohole quite working. She would drink and couldn't get drunk.
She had to either get help or die. She made a desperate phone call to Alcoholics Anonymous. She was given a second life and a new way of living sober.
She married five times before she learned how to have a relationship with herself.
She has over twenty-three years of sobriety, "One day at a time." God's Kid has learned to "Walk the Walk" with a new heart, new eyes and new ears.
