I'm a first-year MFA student at the University of South Carolina. I'm originally from Louisiana and hope to someday find a rewarding career in publishing/agenting there. While the Louisiana market isn't as big as New York's, I hope to find something, anything, to keep me involved in literature and publishing. Any advice about establishing a career as an agent or publisher in Louisiana is welcome.
