I served in the United States Army for 24 years with 18 years as an aviator. Of my aviation career, two were combat commands of aviation units. Another two years were in Korea. Furthermore, I served as a research and development officer working with the Global Positioning System and other highly classified assignments.
After retirement from the Army, I spent 15 years as a magazine writer and photographer with focus on outdoor publications. Also, I did criminal investigative reporting for various newspapers on a free lance basis. Copies of tear sheets are available upon request.
Currently, I have a publish on demand book on the market. It is a 300,000 word book of historical fiction. The title is The Last Hookers. Reader reviews are available on Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.
I am considering agents to represent my literary work. In particular, I require an agent to seek traditional publishers to obtain contract proposals for publishing The Last Hookers. I retain all rights to this work. I have a non-exclusive distribution agreement with 1stBooks for this title.
The Last Hookers is not a typical "blood and guts" work by some nostalgic veteran seeking publication. This work starts in 1938 and is a mutiple-national novel leading the world to each's participation in Southeast Asia.
Characters from France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, North and South Vietnam breath reality into this historical fiction novel.
The target market is the ever-increasing number of veterans who are recalling the roles they played in Korea and Vietnam. It is a book in its time.
