Bill Gagliani was born in Kenosha, WI, but grew up in Genova, Italy. He now lives and writes in Milwaukee, WI. Bill earned his Master's degree in English (1986) at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, where he also taught Composition and Creative Writing. Bill's novel, WOLF'S TRAP, was published by Yard Dog Press in October 2003 and has garnered rave reviews (see Bill's website). In April 2004, WOLF'S TRAP became a finalist for the BRAM STOKER AWARD (in the category of Superior Achievement in a First Novel). Shadowplays, his e-book story collection, is still available from www.ebooksonthe.net. His fiction has appeared in various anthologies including Robert Bloch's Psychos, The Black Spiral: Twisted Tales of Terror, More Monsters From Memphis, Extremes 3: Terror on the High Seas, Extremes 4: Darkest Africa, The Asylum: The Violent Ward, The Midnighters Club, More Stories That Won't Make Your Parents Hurl, Bubbas of the Apocalypse, and The Red, Red Robin Project, as well as the e-zines "1000 Delights," "Dark Muse," and "The Grimoire," and will appear in the upcoming anthology Tooth and Claw Volume 2. His nonfiction articles, reviews, and interviews have appeared at The Chiaroscuro, in Cemetery Dance, Bookpage and BookPage.com, BookLovers, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Science Fiction Chronicle, Bare Bones, The Scream Factory, Horror Magazine, Midnight Journeys and various others. He has had five Honorable Mentions in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, and won the 1999 Darrell Award of the Memphis Science Fiction Association. He is an Active Member of the Horror Writers Association. When not writing, reading, reviewing, or watching movies, Bill is the Stacks Supervisor at Marquette University's Memorial Library. He collects Progressive Rock recordings by dinosaur bands, shoots concert photos whenever he can, plays with toys such as exotic weapons and music synthesizers, and confesses that he has an unshockable taste for the bizarre.
