Vern Beachy has been a radio and television journalist for nearly 20 years, working in Iowa, Arkansas, and New Mexico and Memphis, Tennessee. Among many diversified assignments, he has covered 2 presidential campaigns (1988 and 1992), the crash of United Flight 232 in Sioux City, Iowa, the 1993 Midwestern floods, Whitewater and worked as a political reporter in Iowa, Arkansas and New Mexico.
He has won numerous state, regional and national journalism awards including a Marconi award while he was News Director at 770 KOB in Albuquerque, and an Overall Excellence award from the National Headliners Club.
