Tina Rae Collins is a freelance writer and copyeditor. She is a graduate of Pikeville College, Pikeville, Kentucky. She has authored ten books: Down Mare Creek Road; Up Hurricane Road; My Little Children, I Write Unto You: A Handbook for Growing Up in the Lord; Tales from the Coop; The Soup Bean War; When Angels Cry; What About Brian; The Melting Pot; I Wish I May; and Woman: The Glory of Man. An award-winning poet, her poetry has been published in national and international anthologies, and HillTop Records of Hollywood, California, recorded her song “The Sandman.” Her short stories, poetry, and essays have appeared in Appalachian Heritage magazine, and her poem “Buddha” won third place for the Denny C.
