SC Dixon
Emporia,, Kansas, United States Email: scdixon@osprey.net I was born 3 miles from nowhere in the great state of Kanzas in 1951. In my youth I earned a living of sorts as a rock musician/hell raiser and songwriter/music publisher and later (and still) as a commercial photographer. Over the years I’ve had various articles published in magazines and newspapers on a diversity of subjects, none of which are particularly memorable.
The following titles are edited and complete. A “children’s” book titled LITTLE MOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE (20,000 words), AN OCCURRENCE AT Highgate Cemetery (a horror mystery of 33,000 words, and plenty scary...), an anthology of 5 short stories mostly in the “just plain weird” category, and the grand-mall, magnum opus, big deal piece, DIAMOND SPRING, a historic novel of the not-so-old-West, weighing in a wholloping 100,000 words. DIAMOND SPRING is currently being shopped around by an agent, but not for much longer (my decision). In addition I have four other novels in various stages of completion. (I might add, in the humble manner for which I’m noted, DIAMOND SPRING would make one hell of a screenplay!)
I’ve also completed an endearingly humorous four-part travelogue concerning the first trips of a middle-aged yokel’s (me) visits to England, France, and Scotland. I’m tired of working for a living and want to sell the literary bits and retire happily in Bath, England. Hey, it could happen!
