"The Big One" was the only station given the go ahead to move beyond 50,000 watts... It was a half million watts and could be heard as far as Hawaii... It lasted only a few years and is now back to 50,000 watts... Rosemary Clooney,,, Rod Sterling,,, Red Skelton,,, Doris Day and many other celebrities in the past and the recent present got their start on WLW... On any night 700 WLW can be heard in 38 states, 7 states in the day. Ok,, enough bragging... I just think it is a cool place with a hellva tradition...
I have decided to write an historical fiction novel on the Sicilian Expedition sent by Athens in the 5th century B.C.... It was to conquer Syracuse, but failed miserably... The war is considered by many historians to be one of the most important in history... Rome itself may never have emegered had Athens succeeded and conquered Italy and the rest of the known world...
If it doesn't sell,,, that's ok,,, I'm doing this for myself... I look forward to the great dialogue I've seen here...
