I am a professor of psychology at the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse and have, in addition to the usual professional journal articles, published three books. The first two were texts: one on research design with Lippincott, one on group dynamics with McGraw Hill Higher Education. The most recent book is a trade book published with NYU Press -- Gun Women: Firearms and Feminism in Contemporary America (in collaboration with Mary Zeiss Stange.
My educational background is in both Social and Counseling Psychology and my interests are broad. They include social psychology, women's studies, criminal justice, human sexuality, and group dynamics.
In addition to journal articles and books, I have written book reviews for ForeWord magazine, entries for the Encyclopedia of Guns in American Society, and articles for the website www.womenhunters.com.
I write about topics that I'm passionate about and that I feel need a fresh, unique perspective.
