I'm a recovering alcoholic who was once more than moderately successful, but found myself reduced to residency in a city park in Portland, Oregon. That was in the autumn of 1998. I've since struggled back to to a space of relative physical security and spiritual well-being. I cannot adequately relate the difficulty of that process in such a short piece.
I'm currently writing a book about the personal changes I found it necessary to make, and believe it may well be of benefit to others who want or need change, but who are finding it difficult to grab and hold the required momemtum.
I have 40,000 heavily edited words "in the can," another 10,000 I'm currently editing, and another couple of chapters in outline form. Iexpect to be finished with it before the end of this year, 2002. I am seeking an agent or a publisher. Interests: I follow new scientific developments, particularly in the physical sciences, have a strong bent toward, and considerable knowledge of Eastern religions, and am also interested the self-help area of personal achievement.
