Rupert Eden

Rupert Eden has eight years experience as a print and
newswire journalist working in London as well as
postings in Latin America Italy and Iberia. His
grounding is in financial, energy and business news
having started out in 1996 working for the US
commodities newswire Bridge followed by foreign
correspondence work for FT Finance and
then as a stringer for the energy newswire Platts which took him to Spain, Peru,
Argentina and finally to Italy. By 1999 he was working
full time for Reuters in their Rome bureau covering
corporate and political news.

This period was followed by a departure from pure
financial news gathering to editorial management,
market-driven analysis and travel journalism.

Immediately after leaving Reuters in 2001 Rupert
headed editorial strategy at The Writer using the written word to raise the
corporate profile of high-end and medium-sized
businesses through their online and in-house content
including business plans, mission statements and press
packs. Names he worked with at The Writer include
