Worked for 30 years as a journalist in various capacities. The first 10 years were in India for publications like Current, Newstrek, Onlooker and Probe India. Newstrek was concieved by a colleague and me with finances from an industrialist in Mumbai. Then it was 14 years in Saudi Arabia as senior editor for Riyadh Daily. Later worked as night editor, Gulf Today, Sharjah,UAE, for more than two years. Now working as Edit Pages Editor with The Oman Tribune, Muscat. Job includes writing edits regularily and a weekly column, Upside Down.
Besides working on the desk, have published over 500 investigative pieces and features stories. Have written a weekly Sunday column 'Bridging the Gulf' for the Free Press Journal.
Have published a book in India in December 2004. Titled Omnipresent Osamas, the book was from Yeti Books, which has published works by Dom Moreas, Anita Nair etc. Omnipresent Osamas was reviewed favourably in S. India's New Indian Express (all 12 editions), the Mumbai and Indore editions of Free Press Journal and Pioneer.
Malayalam magazine (from the New Indian Express stable) also gave the book a positive review.
