Agent: Actively seeking an agent
Austin, Texas, United States
Well, I pretty much hate writing about myself, but here we go. I've been writing fantasy since I was in college. Graduated in '96 with a degree in Creative Writing and a minor in Psychology, which means I can write an in-depth story about the psychological ramifications of unemployment.
My first bit of luck when it came to breaking into the industry came a few years ago, when I thought to combine my two greatest interests--writing and role-playing games--and sent in a submission to White Wolf. They couldn't use the submission itself, but the writing was strong enough that they offered me something else, and away we went. I've now got six published credits in various role-playing books--five for White Wolf, one for Monkey God Enterprises--with well over a dozen more on the way in the next year.
I'm still trying to find a publisher for my fantasy novels, however. I used to have an agent, but she quit the business for health reasons, and I've yet to secure another one. I have three completed fantasy novels ready for submission, with several others that still require a bit of tweaking.
I'll be more than happy to speak with agents, publishers, or fellow authors, and I'm always willing to give advice to anyone interested in breaking into RPG freelancing--especially (but not exclusively) if they can, in exchange, offer advice in finding an agent and/or publisher for my novels.
Interests: Role-playing games, reading fantasy, watching far too much TV and too many movies.
