Roy Abrahams

Email: royelara@my180.net

The long-ago past found me selling my first attempt at writing a magazine article; CoinAge magazine. Concurrent with this, I was police reporter for a newspaper in a large metropolitan city. Also at that time, I obtained an agent in California who presented my screen plays for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. to MGM. They asked that I try writing for Bonanza and Mission Impossible. A personal tragedy interfered and these opportunities were never followed up. Three years ago, I was successful in interesting the editor of our daily paper in my writing and for six months I wrote a weekly column that appeared prominently on the op-ed pages. That stint ended shortly after an essay angered the wrong person in our community. Today, I am under assignment to cover antique shows in the Pacific Northwest for a leading magazine published for that field of interest. And for the past ten years, I have worked on fiction pieces and now have three short stories ready for submission. I also am working on three novel length pieces, each in a different category: historical, fantasy, and macabre.

This screwball forum won't cooperate when one wants to affix a pic so go here for one of me taken shortly after I started letting my hair grow long.
