Me: Ieuan Ben Pawl Dolby
Fifteen years of working the oceans from hither to .... well, there and beyond. Cultures and clashes from around the world in non-touristic towns, villages and mud holes has been my very existence since the age of seventeen. As the saying goes "I have seen things that you have not even heard about".
An Engineer am I, or was if my liking for the written word had not consumed me! I took two years out from the sea to work for the Volunteer Service Overseas, ending up on the smallest Island in the middle of nowhere in charge of a Maritime School in Tuvalu. And now? Well, here I am as a Manager of an English Language School in Taiwan.
That about sums it all up in a nutshell. Writing experience? Articles? Plenty. Oh, and a full and extreme book of memoirs of everything and everyone that has caused me to open my eyes in wanderment as I travelled the oceans. All those situations that seem unreal in retrospect and will never be repeated. I wrote those pages, one fine summer upon deciding that travelling was becoming weary, wrote them in one extreme of gusto. I sat down and three months later I woke up to a book ready to be published.
Considering the above apart, I enjoy writing and spend many a free hour writing with wit and insight. I often laugh myself to sleep and then write about it in the morning!
Besides teaching and trying to Manderinize myself I am working on a novel of fiction, the sea playing one role of course.
Me: http://www.seadolby.com Interests: The sea below and above, the Merchant Navy and all those that work in the Industry. Life in SE Asia, Taiwan, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Singaporean, etc cultures and peoples. Traveling worldwide as an adventurist rather than a tourist.
