I grew up in the redwood forests of Northern California, exploring the San Rafael hills, the bay beaches of China Camp, the wild woods of the Muir and a vast, restless Pacific sea. My childhood was filled with many different characters -- some my own creation, some made up by friends, always stimulating and often very wise teachers.
I completed my schooling at the California State University of Sacramento, where I received a B.A. in English. At this campus I had an opportunity to work with a wonderful writer and professor, Mary Mackey. Her powerful influence has helped shape my journey as a writer and editor, and I attribute a great deal of my skills to her teaching. More information about her works can be found at her website. As a Books Editor for RITRO.com, I hope to help other aspiring writers construct vessels for their stories to live and breathe in, to provide them with motivation and encouragement to persevere in actualizing their creative work, and to contribute my own inspirations for anyone to use as they will. I would like to see RITRO.com become a dynamic place for writers and readers alike to come and interact. I welcome feedback of all kinds from everyone and am happy to be of assistance in every possible way.
