I was the Editor of Membership Publications for the American Payroll Association (APA) in San Antonio, TX from 1999-2005. In this capacity, I was responsible for the overall production of PaytecH magazine, overseeing writing, editing, proofreading, and assigning articles. I was also involved in marketing and advertising for the APA.
Since 1995 I have been a freelance writer for several automotive and business publications. From 1995-1999 I penned regular columns for Old Cars Weekly, This Old Truck magazine, and National Auto Shop'r. My byline can be found currently in Car Collector magazine, where I write a monthly feature. In addition to my automotive endeavors, I also contribute regularly to Independent Banker magazine, The Federal Credit Union magazine, QSR magazine (quick serve restaurant trade publication), and Business Development Outlook magazine.
I am also a published author with two books to my credit. In April 2000 Iconografix, Inc. published my book, Dodge Power Wagon Photo History, and in April 2001, they published my Chevrolet El Camino Photo History book. Both are doing well in the market, and I am now writing my third book for Iconografix at this time. During the 1995-2000 period I acted as editor and proofreader on three automotive books for two of my colleagues.
I own an editing/proofreading business, South Texas Editorial (http://southtexaseditorial.com). I accept editing/proofing/writing work in all genres.
I hold a B.A. in English-Communications Arts from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. I am skilled in all forms of writing, and am adept at editing, proofreading, and rewriting, and am also an active photographer.
