Linda Allen is author of more than 50 magazine articles, essays, and books. she has received honors from the Society for Professional Journalists and Writer's Digest. Her book, Decking the Halls - The Folklore and Traditions of Christmas Plants, was a finalist for the 2001 Benjamin Franklin Award for history. In 2005, Allen self-published a companion book, Menagerie at the Manger. Both books have received acclaim as gift and reference books for Christmas services and programs. She is a contributing author to A Cup of comfort for Christians (2006) and Our Fathers Who Art in Heave (2005).

Allen is also a speaker and cultural awareness trainer. She has presented awareness and training programs to government, university and private business clients. Allen has also planned events and itineraries and hosted delegations from India, Mexico, China, CIS countries, Japan, Brazil, and Argentina. She travels annually to Bolivia as a Spanish interpreter for medical and construction teams. With over 15 years experience, Allen has developed cross-cultural trainng and intensive language programs for middle school through adult continuing education levels.
