Well...for me, writing is a process vital to keep me alive and kicking....dont know what i would do without my writing to keep me going...probably be climbing up walls or something!
On the serious side of things....i've worked as a copywriter at 'Goldwire Communications' (www.goldwire.com) - Chennai, India for two years - writing copy for print ads, audio visuals and content for websites.
Worked as a freelance writer for the 'Indian Express' - Chennai, India - mainly wrote feature articles for their saturday supplement on a variety of subjects ranging from night shift workers, to the modelling scene in Chennai to Karoake Bars in the city.
Have also contributed articles to a film based website www.3to6.com on a range of Bollywood subjects - ranging from interviews with film designers to film reviews and other film based feature articles.
Till very recently I was a consultant at Crest Communication, Mumbai, India and did concepts and scripts for television (fiction and non-fiction), animation (2D/3D), corporate films, ad films and anything else that came my way.
Amongst several freelance assignments, I wrote the Script and Screenplay for 22 half hour episodes of 'Kutumb' - a daily TV drama on Sony TV for Balaji Tele Films, Mumbai, India (www.balajitelefilms.com). Also worked on an International e-learning project at Tata Interactive Systems, Mumbai, India (www.tis.co.in). Several of my humor columns and lifestyle features have appeared as cover stories in Gurlz Magazine - a bi-monthly lifestyle magazine brought out by the Darmilla Group.
I'm a recent graduate from Indiana University, Bloomington, specializing in interactive storytelling for immersive, mediated environments.
Left to my own devices, i enjoy writing poetry, feature articles and short stories.
I'm open to freelance writing assignments and look forward to making a mark as a writer...soon!
Interests: Am a total bookworm...Enjoy reading Paulo Coelho, Milan Kundera, Douglas Adams, Hanif Quereshi and Mahasweta Devi to name a few.
Am into music and the guitar - like mostly country and rock.
I also love travelling and discovering new places.
