Having ably handled just about any genre of writing--creative (fiction) and factual (non-fiction--under human experience over the past 21 years(actually, 2009 marks my 25th year since I started what I believed to be an affair with the written word!), I now concentrate on arts and lifestyle-related issues.
As part of my journalistic work, I publish ArtmMatters.Info (www.artmatters.info) that reports on the arts, entertainment, heritage, culture, business, religion, politics and other socio-cultural and creative trends of in Eastern and Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
Bent on inculcating in children and youth the culture of creating, promoting and consuming high quality audiovisual media products, I run the Lola Kenya Screen (www.lolakenyascreen.org) audio-visual media initiative for children and youth in eastern Africa.
I also consult on arts, culture, communications and development. My consultancy firm, ComMattersKenya Limited, undertakes any assignement in East Africa on behalf of clients from any part of the globe.
