Elizabeth Whitaker
Easley, South Carolina, United States Email: evw2@bellsouth.net I am presently working as a customer service representative for a major package carrier. I'm in the process of getting back on my feet after getting two diagnoses of cancer (and undergoing treatment for both) in less than five years. I am an amateur historian and former professional genealogist who will be applying to an MLIS (Master's in Library and Information Science) for this Fall (2002). Not married but would like to be. (As a Catholic, I'm a member of a religious minority here in the Carolinas.) I'd also like to have children.
As a former substitute teacher and (one semester) computer teacher, I've got very definite views on K-12 education. As both a continuing patient and a former medical practice administrator, I've had a lot of experience on both sides of the healthcare wars. I'm also a longterm participant in South Carolina's Republican Party.
I've also had other job experience, including being a secretary for over a year with the Department of the Navy in the Washington, DC, area. I interviewed for a job (years ago) in the part of the Pentagon that got hit 9-11. (I didn't get that job.)
