I was born and partly raised in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, leaving at age 16. I am a professional arbitrator/mediator who advocates for contractors. I am also an advocate for the mentally ill, and a past Board of Advisors member of the NC Alliance for the Mentally Ill. I currently serve on several boards of directors for non-profit associations dealing with providing medical help to children and recovering mental patients. I am currently writing a history of Henry Rains, Esquire, 1715-1786, of NC. I have been writing technical articles on arbitration and mediation for years, as well as fiction.
