I have resided in the USA (Ky) as well as in Western Canada before resettling to my home town. I previously worked in the finance industry and taught economics at our local Community College as well as supply taught at a local high school. My writing began way back in high school with short stories and poetry. I wrote my first novel, a mystery for young people, in 1983. After many tries and rejections, I went on to my second book, written in 1997, which I am recently managed to get published through BookSurge.com in N. Charleston, S.C. I was working with an agent in Toronto on making the book more saleable, but she eventually demanded an entire rewrite. (She doesn't charge a fee. I already got scalped by a shark a few years ago!) Although I know a writer should specialize, I love writing and would tend to cut across genres simply because my reading tastes do as well. However, I have stayed in the same young adult area with my second book, although this type of fantasy sells to lots of adults as well. My third book is a major change for me. Definitely adult in content, I think I will use a pseudonym if I ever get published. Even though I am directing a lot of energy toward promoting my second book, I still write ceaselessly. I have also written articles for our local newspaper on environmental concerns.
