Writing-wise: Brace yourself, this is heady stuff. After long clamber through the world of school magazines (a poem, an article), writing competitions (2nd in Rough Guide travel writing comp), writing/editing newsletter for Woolwich Dry Ski Slope, article in local paper "Greenwich Mercury", first real publishing breaks in 92/3/4. Burst onto scene with up-market, humorous, erotic short-stories for women's magazines, "Ludus" (no longer published) and "For Women". Left husband and gained writer's block, oddly enough both in the same year.

Then hideous and long period of depression forced me to isolate and write awful, embarrassing first book about characters in brothel (why that obsession then with sex? Why?) which still survives on disk, well 12 chapters anyway.

Last year saw great breakthrough in mood and outlook and have now begun new book, which will, naturally, be made into a film starring Gwynneth Paltrow, Sharlene Spiteri (for reasons known only to myself) and Ewan McGregor. If anyone knows them, please ask if they could free up a rehearsal and filming window for, oh, around May 2003. Thanks.
