My name is Ondra Walker. I'm an 18-year-old high school senior from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. My birthday is September 6, 1983, which makes me a very odd little Virgo. I have always been interested in writing for as long as I can remember. My dream is to become a writer. I doesn't always come easily to me but it makes me feel better. I've never done anything like this before but I guess there is a first time for everything, right? Let's see. I'm the editor of the school newspaper but I have no interest in becoming a journalist. Naturally, English is one of my best subjects in school. Although that I need to get used to doing college English. I'm still trying to get two papers in by Monday. I'm have a good foothold on one but I still need to work on another one. But I'm a college student, what can I say? Actually I do dual enrollment. I'm at my high school classes in the morning and my college classes in the afternoon. I plan to combine English, history, and foreign language studies in college for an interdisplanary major. I don't know what I'll do after college but being a writer is definetly in the plan somewhere. I'm more interested in finding someone that will help me hone my craft and teach me how to sell my writing. I have finally decided to seriously look at a future with my writing, which I have ignored too long because of school and other things. I'm getting ready to start a new chapter of my life in a few months when I graduate from high school and go to college. So why not go to the next level with my writing? I mostly write poetry but I do a short story every now and then. My stories go all over the place so I don't have a particular genre I can truly identify with. Not to sound consided or anything but I love to write about different phases of my life. I have had a colorful life and if my story can make someone realize they are not alone in their problems then I have done what I have wanted to do.
