Living a blessed life to the fullest and becoming a “Janet of All Trades” is Deanna Michaux’s motto and motivation to conquer the world. This is evidenced as the author of Millenium Diva, A Real Woman’s Guide to Balance.

Success was not a breeze for this 31 year old North Carolina native by way of New York City. In fact, it was a personal battle filled with much hard work before the balance could be achieved.

After graduating from high school, she went directly to the U.S. Air Force. She completed four years of active duty and received the Meritorious Service Medal for service during Operation Desert Storm. She attended the Community College of the Air Force as well as several business schools in New York City and completed a course of study from the United Kingdom.

From there she made the challenging journey to Wall Street and later pursued a career in healthcare administration.

Deanna, a distant descendant of the late playwright Oscar Micheaux who was one of the earliest African American film producers, is a well-known guest speaker throughout the Carolinas often doing motivational speeches and self-awareness seminars. In order to utilize all of her talents, she models for John Casablancas Modeling Agency, and recently cast as an extra in the movie Shallow Hal, a film starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jason Alexander. She also interns at WPEG Power 98FM as a news reporter and owns a consulting firm in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After hosting numerous “Exhale” parties at her home and traveling to 34 of the 50 states, she began to notice the presence of common negative factors among women that caused them to be frustrated, unhappy and far from successful. This brought to light the realization that there is a collaboration of general topics that most women discuss or should know about, but no one dares to put it on paper.

From observation, discussion and life experiences came the creation of the 11 Diva Principles. Life was then given to each one of the principles and the Millenium Diva was born. By applying these principles as needed and remaining “true to self”, the pathway for a balanced life becomes the road well traveled.
