Quite simply, I work for hire.
Clients ask me to create clear, accurate and concise content from the information they've provided to me. The content is generally used on a Web site, in a course, in a magazine or printed in a trade publication. Clients retain all rights.
As owner of Training by Design, I've created custom courses and documentation for specific jobs at Fortune 500 companies since 1988. A few examples of my work include management development programs, a sales training manual, a 6-week customer service curriculum, a standard operating procedures manual and a software user's guide.
I write original content based on 24 years of training and development experience. Some of this content appears on my Web site www.trainingbydesign.com. As contributing editor of training and development topics for Suite101.com, I've published more than 30 articles on timely training trends and issues. These articles, which are available for syndication, have also appeared at HR.com and in ISP Weekly magazine. In addition, I've researched and written several news briefs on telecommunications topics for Briefme.com.
My Bachelor of Arts degree is in English. I've also studied business administration in graduate school.
