I am early and recently retired from a career in Computing and Information Systems at Yale University for over 20 years.
Moved to Cape Cod in 1998. Published many trade rag articles for the IT industry including a training manual while at Yale.
After starting my own consulting business in 1998, I got the idea to invent, produce and market a trivia board game, The Cape Cod & Islands Challenge Game (www.challengegame.com)
Game has been very successful and I now have them retailed in many gift stores and book stores, e.g. BORDERS, and independents.
While doing research for the trivia game, inspired to create my first fictional piece, a mystery novel, entitled after a small Cape Cod village, Quissett.
Self published it in September 2001. It is already doing extremely well and my only limiitation is myself since I am doing the marketing/distribution.
The story takes place in a small village of Woods Hole on Cape Cod, named Quissett. The people are shocked to learn that one of their own and beloved marine biologists, Sam Parker, has mysteriously drowned in a local bay. The case is hurriedly closed as an "accidental drowning".
The background to this drama reveals secrets that had been hidden by friends of the victim. Secrets that go back to their earlier days as teenagers.
At Parker's funeral, two young mourners reunite and begin a romantic relationship. Their romance is spirtually watched, and at times interrupted, by metaphysical forces leading them to clues about the questionable drowning.
Subtle and not so subtle instances of paranormal communication and reincarnation play important roles in this story.
This fast moving mystery/drama is intertwined with thought-provoking situations that prove the power of unconditional love. Love of one another emerges as the true hero in this exciting new novel
