Writers are much better people on paper than they are in person. I try not to attach too much pretense to my desire to spew forth prose and attempt to make a living from it. I just enjoy making things up. Fiction is where I want to be ultimately, but I have written for live and pre-recorded television shows as well, and have compiled newsletters and various other items for several companies, including Nedbank, the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Nestle. As a Copywriter and scriptwriter, I have written for companies such as KFC, Ster Kinekor, nu Metro, Prima Toys and a host of others.
I am currently studying towards a degree in English with specialisation in Creative Writing. I also have a diploma in Copywriting from the AAA school of advertising in Johannesburg. I am in search of regular or freelance work in TV, film, advertising or publishing. I enjoy satire, literary or film critique and long walks in the moonlight. I have no qualifications other than sarcasm, cyniscism, a pinch of narcisscism, an aversion to brussel sprouts and onions, and...oh yes, my copywriting diploma.
I have freelanced as a cartoonist/illustrator and am presently employed fulltime as a copywriter. Please contact me to view samples of published work.
