I am a 38-year-old college student working full-time and married. I finally realized I didn't want to be just another clerical scribe. My grandfather worked as a chiropractor for 30 years, so I decided to continue the family line and become a chiropractor myself. Since I didn't go straight to college after high school, I am starting from almost ground zero. I did take some classes when I was younger, but that was a different time and I am a different person.

I wrote all through my formative years. Stories, poems, and essays most of which I either burned or kept for humorous reflection. As the last of six kids in my family, I learned from observing. I still do observe. I was blessed with two college-educated parents who believed in and practiced the art of reading. I carry that wonderful gift with me today. They also taught me the value of critical thinking. I do not conceder myself a cynic, but am able to view the world with an eye towards realism. Optimism is something to be reached for, but never attained. I maintain my tripod website, when I can, and post my literary musings there.

The people who know me describe me as opinionated, softhearted, cynical, quiet, and thoughtful. To that list I would add reflective. Sometimes it appears as if I am a know-it-all, but I research before I jump to any conclusions. Seeing both sides of any issue is a strength, especially for a writer.

For me, life is a continual stroll through a living gallery where most of the exhibits are not titled, but through reflective pause we can begin to understand the creator’s intent.
