: Halandi Madalane

Halandi Joy Madalane (born January 9, 1993) is an aspiring South African novelist and
short story writer. His writing is influenced by the social ambience of his home city of
Johannesburg. His work addresses the ordinary lives of teenagers and young adults of
Johannesburg, the act of writing, social networks, alcohol, relationships with women,
and his day-to-day experiences.

He is also the co-founder of Khular Business Consultants and an independent personal
branding strategist.

Lord Henry Maximó Meléndez is the literary alter ego of the South-African aspiring
novelist Halandi Madalane, appearing in most of Halandi's short stories and poems.
Although much of Henry's biography is based on Halandi's own life story, the Henry
character is still a literary creation that is constructed with the veneer of what the writer
Adam Kirsch calls "a pulp fiction hero."
