David J. McMullen: Born in Hobart Tasmania into a family tree containing many Literary folk - one of the most notable being revered iconic Australian author/poet Henry Lawson.
I have been writing stories/poems/lyrics for as long as I can remember - which is probably near on 50 years!
My passion is combining the stories within my books with my song writing which culminated in me recording the entire soundtrack for the fictional album, and a number of other songs, 'written & recorded' within the storylines of my latest trilogy 'The Fearless Five', with almost all of those songs now signed to Music Publishing houses around the world. You can hear some of those tracks @ http://soundcloud.com/jamsongs
I also have two collections of poetry published - Oz Words & Oz Words Too. A book of song lyrics - Just Add Music. A Children's Illustrated Picture Book - Eucalypt Stew as well as The Fearless Five trilogy - One Up/A Journey of Discovery/Searching for a Niche.
Sport is my other passion - these days only as an observer. I love our Aussie sports - Australian Rules Football and Cricket. But I have also become an admirer of American Football through my son who played college football as a punter for The Oregon State Beavers.
I am married to my childhood sweetheart, Corryn, who has been and still is an inspiration for my writings having penned and recorded many songs that focus on or around her. We have two children - Tim, our college footballer and Alyse, our beautiful daughter.
