Mike Beliveau was born in northern Vermont in 1954. While growing up in he developed a love of history, particularly the
history of the American frontier. In 1988 he took that interest and turned it into a freelance writing career. Mike has done
writing and photography for several nationally distributed magazines. His primary subjects are eighteenth and
ineteenth century firearms and frontier history.
Currently Mike writes the black powder column for "Guns of The Old West" magazine as well as writing feature articles
for that magazine and several others.
His first novel, "The Lady Gay," is a western murder mystery set in Dodge City, Kansas in 1878. It is published by
enovel.com. He has two other books in the works. "Family Honor" is a crime story set in 1990's Rhode Island, and
"Hostages In Time" is a science fiction tale that moves between the present time and medieval France.
Mike lives in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania.
