Lydia Rodriguez-Clement

San Antonio, Texas, United States

I am a 44 year old Native Texan with a very busy home life. Since childhood I have had a really active imagination and began writing in high school. After graduating and going through several years of college, l met my husband and began my family. Of course that set my career on the back burner until 2010. That was the year that two major things happened in my life. One was that I had finished writing my novel, and two, I began to feel ill. It's strange, now in retrospect, that I had the feeling of urgency to publish my book Angelus, because soon after I was diagnosed with Leukemia. Thankfully, I am 2 1/2 years in remission and have since published The Guardian in 2014. The Guardian is actually a revised version of Angelus. After fighting for ones life, it gives you that drive you need to set things right and not to waste precious time. I had hastily published Angelus, so I had to give it it's second chance too. I'm currently working on making The Guardian a series, putting my two favorite things together...writing and eating peanuts.

Interests: Besides reading and writing, I do LOVE to cook, bake, and grill.
