Pamela Levene

Tel Aviv, Israel

Home page:

I have the bones of a book. The working title is “When Arafat saw
my knickers” though I suspect that I will have to modify this if I am
ever to see my words in print!

Peace, that precious but illusive ideal. Even as we ordinary people
in Israel go about our ordinary lives, that aspiration, that dream, is
never far from our thoughts.

For the last twelve years I have been a licenced tour guide. I have
the satisfaction of working in a field that I love, but previously, for an
amazing period (and incredibly, by mistake) I had a role in my
country’s pursuit of peace. I was the Secretary to the Peace Talks
between Israel and the Palestinians.

For a brief time Israel’s future was in my hands. It is this I have
written about; this is what I want to share with others.

Interests: Nature, photography, my country, my family. Life!
