Richard Lang

Mesquite, Nevada, United States

I retired in February of 2012 and live in Mesquite, Nevada. When I was a teenager I
read all the James Bond novels by Ian Fleming and thought that some day I would like
to write a novel too. In the first year of my retirement I read over 120 books. My favorite
authors are Dashiell Hammett and Ernest Hemingway. It was through this experience
the idea of writing a novel re-emerged. In November of 2013 I told my wife about the
story I wanted to write and she started laughing then said she thought I was being
facetious. She is not laughing anymore. In December I started the novel and she was
my editor. She has read it many times and put up with my stubbornness and
reluctance to change a word. I hope you will enjoy my story.
