Robert Eggleton is a couple of years from qualifying for Medicare when I hope to write fiction full-time. In 2006, he created the Lacy Dawn Adventures project and his first novel, Rarity from the Hollow, was published by a short lived ebook publisher started by the Acquisition Editor for the University of Michigan Library. Three short stories were published during the first editing stage -- two in print magazines and one in an e-magazine. In 2012, his novel was reprinted.
Robert is a master level therapist in a community mental health center, so half of author proceeds have been donated to Children’s Home Society of West Virginia where he lives.
Unfortunately, sales have been poor despite several glowing book review and blurbs, including by the Missouri Review, Darrell Bain, Piers Anthony, Barry Hunter, and others. Several factors may have contributed to his lack of success: poor self-promotion skill by a novice in social media, mixed genre, book covers that didn’t target an audience, lack of funds to promote by the small presses. But, he is learning and motivated.
